    Code of Conduct

Pony Clubbers and their parents are expected to follow these guidelines:

  • ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT OTHER MEMBERS

  • BE RESPECTFUL OF THE FEELINGS AND NEEDS OF OTHERS

  • PRACTICE GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP

  • ARRIVE ON TIME

  • LISTEN CAREFULLY AND ATTENTIVELY TO THE MOUNTED AND DISMOUNTED INSTRUCTORS AND THE "PIC."

  • CARE FOR YOUR HORSE'S NEEDS FIRST

  • TREAT YOUR HORSE WITH KINDNESS AND RESPECT

  • HAVE FUN!

Parents should also remember:

  • Pony Club should be fun.

  • Pony Club is for the kids.

  • All club officials are volunteers.

  • Offer to help out.

  • Please address all constructive criticism to the DC

Communication

Most club problems result from lack of communication. Club officials use the web site, WPC directory, email newsletter and other forms of communication to keep club members informed as to the club's activities. It is the responsibility of the parents and members to keep themselves informed by reading the newsletter, website and email postings. Club officials need to remember that the club exists for the benefit of Pony Clubbers and all decisions must be made with their best interests in mind. In light of this, officials need to be receptive to suggestions and ideas of the Pony Clubbers and parents.
